Personality: Possibly the most obvious thing about Mihashi's personality, to pretty much anyone coming into contact with him, is that he is an extraordinarily anxious person. Getting through conversations with him is notably difficult, and even when he makes the effort to try and continue a conversation, Mihashi often trips over his own words, or even cuts out parts of his sentences completely, enough to cut off communication before he can voice his thoughts. Almost all of his team mates have a lot of trouble talking with him, save for one marked exception, and even the team's catcher has a difficult time getting through to him.
His ego is extremely delicate. Three straight years of bullying from his Jr. High team trampled out almost all confidence he had in himself and his abilities, and it's implied that when he wasn't being bullied, he was largely ignored by his peers. This caused him to have a slew of self-identity issues, a defeatist attitude about himself, and a lack of communication skills.
Underneath all that, however, Mishashi genuinely believes in the good of others. He insists that his jr. high tormentors had good reason for doing what they did, and that he shouldn't hate them for their behavior. Even their opponents and individuals who have been marked as sketchy can get a pass when it comes to Mihashi with even some small gesture of decency toward him. He's a bit naive in this regard, and it makes it easy for others to take advantage of his good nature.
There's nothing he wants more than to make sure that those around him do not hate him. Obviously, from treatment he received in Jr. High, it's easy to see why he has such a mind set, and it's a very likely source for his naive views. As long as he follows instructions and orders given to him by peers and superiors, he believes that there's no reason to be treated poorly in return. The only time when he refuses to give in to pressure from his peers is when being told to switch out in games for a different pitcher. It comes off as a very stubborn thing to do, and Mihashi notes several times that it was a selfish action, but it's more likely due to the fact that he views pitching as all he has in terms of self-identity. This particular exception aside, Mihashi is obedient and hard working to the best of his abilities.
As far as emotions go, Mihashi is very simple. Mood changes reflect quickly and obviously on his face, and all efforts at acting nonchalant are complete failures. He cries fairly easily, though he does toughen up as the series progresses to the point where it happens less frequently. It's not difficult to say something that will upset him, but at the same time, it's easy to placate him, too.
When he puts his mind to it, Mihashi can be a very hard worker. When it comes to something he cares about or wholeheartedly wants, he will throw himself into whatever task is needed completely and without complaint. Pitching, being a cornerstone of his very existence, is something he practices daily, even outside of the normal training, and even went out of his way to make his own set-up for it at home. Getting into his High School of choice took a lot of studying, due to his lower grades in Jr. High, though his desire to change schools was intense enough to get him to pass.
Debt:A lot of Mihashi's desires, especially at this point, are centered around victory. He wants his team to continue winning, feeling that if they were to take a loss, it would be on his shoulders and his team would grow to resent him for it. Any wish made would have to be 'Victory for the team.' After canon updating, his wants would shift from 'victory for the team' to 'his team mates not getting hurt'. 'Ayyyy.
Suitability: Mihashi's mindset, being stuck in anxiety mode more often than not, will lead him to feeling like if he doesn't at least attempt his work quietly, he'll end up being treated unkindly. However, he does know how to work hard, but it might take a little bit of goading to get him to do so properly. It won't be anything he takes a great joy in, but he will do as he's told.

Abilities, Strengths, and Weaknesses: Mihashi's biggest and most obvious ability is his pitching skill. He's not a fast pitcher, but he has amazing control and overwhelming dedication. Also, for a boy his age, he's fairly adept at cooking! Other than that, he's pretty ordinary in terms of any real skills.
His strengths lie mainly in his drive to continue doing what he loves. He's extremely hard working and almost impossible to deter when he has his mind set on something, which is typically backed up with a surprising level of skill. On top of that, he has a good heart, and has an easy time seeing the good in other people and placing his trust in them. His resilience is also of note - Mihashi has no problem continuing to work hard even after being injured, or over-playing himself in a game.
Mihashi is, however, the sort of person who believes very little in himself. As much as he loves to pitch and has others tell him he's good, it doesn't get through to him. This sort of ties in to communication issues he has, where it's neither easy for him to speak with other, nor understand what someone else's words might be implying. He's often high-strung and easy to fluster, and even when he's 'calm', it's more often than not relative to his normal behavior than actually seeming relaxed.
